Everything rosin
No gatekeeping, no snobbery — just the good stuff, explained plainly. Whether it's your first dab or your thousandth, pull up a stool.
So, what is rosin?
Rosin is cannabis squeezed with gentle heat and firm pressure until it gives up a thick, golden rosin. No solvents, no chemistry — think of pressing olives for oil. Flower in, rosin out.
Because nothing's added and nothing's stripped, the flavour and aroma come through clean. That's why we serve it: it's the most honest way to taste a plant. And because we grow the flower ourselves, we know exactly what went into the press — and what didn't.
Flower in
Fresh, well-cured bud or hash.
Heat & press
A warm plate and firm, even pressure.
Golden rosin out
Solventless rosin, ready to dab.
Rosin vs the rest
An honest comparison — no trash-talking, just the differences.
Solventless rosin
Just heat and pressure. Nothing to purge, nothing to trust but the plant. Clean and full-flavour.
Solvent extracts (BHO)
Potent and can be very clean — but made with solvents that must be purged. You're trusting the purge.
Dry sift & hash
Solventless and old-school — and the raw material for great rosin. Press good hash, get great rosin.
The short answer: with rosin, it's flower in, rosin out.
A quick terpene tour
Terpenes are the aromatic oils that give each strain its smell, taste and character. Because rosin is pressed gently, it protects them beautifully.
Myrcene
Earthy, musky, a little mango
The most common terp — relaxing and rounded. Big in The Skull and Rocket Fuel.
Limonene
Bright citrus zest
Lifts the mood and the nose. Front-and-centre in Pineapple Chem and Candy Pops.
Caryophyllene
Warm black pepper, spice
The one terp that acts on the body like a cannabinoid. Loud in Forbidden Z and Peanut Butter Breath.
Pinene
Fresh pine forest
Sharp and clearing. Carries Big Bud and Durban Poison.
Linalool
Soft lavender, florals
Calm and smooth — the chill note in Forbidden Z and Blueberry Headband.
Terpinolene
Herbal, fruity, complex
Hard to pin down and lovely for it. Threads through Candy Pops and Trainwreck.
Vaporising points
Cooler keeps the flavour; hotter makes the clouds. Here's the map.
No thermometer? Torch the banger, kill the flame, and wait — the timer below does the counting for you.
The Perfect-Dab Timer
"Let it cool for flavour" is the hardest advice to follow. So we made it something you do — pick a lane and we'll coach you, phase by phase.
Standard melt: 45s heat, 75s rest — a two-minute ritual. Pick a lane and press Start.
Storing your rosin
Rosin has three enemies: heat, light and air. Beat all three and it keeps for ages.
Bring frozen rosin back to room temperature before opening, and don't worry if the texture shifts — that's normal.
assets/img/photos/storage.jpgWater, or no water?
Your rig can run with water or bone-dry — and it genuinely changes the dab.
With water, the vapour bubbles through and comes out cooler and smoother — easier on the throat, but the water scrubs away a little of the flavour and aroma on the way.
No water — a dry pull — is warmer and more direct, and that's exactly where the terps live. You taste far more of the plant.
Our take: at the bar we mostly run dry. Low temps plus no water is, for our money, the truest taste of a fresh press. Keep the dab small, keep it cool, and let the flavour do the talking.
Cooler & smoother
Gentle, easy hits — but muted terps.
Warmer & tastier
Direct, full-flavour and terp-forward — how we run it.
How to take the perfect dab
Low and slow, the way we do it at the bar. Six steps.
Heat the banger
Torch the quartz until it just glows — no need for white-hot.
Let it cool
The step everyone rushes. Wait so the quartz drops into the flavour zone. Patience = flavour.
Load a grain of rice
A grain-of-rice dab is plenty. Start small — you can always go again.
Drop, spin & cap
Drop the rosin in, spin it with the tool, then cap it to trap heat and pull airflow.
Pull & breathe
Easy, slow inhale — then breathe out. No need to force a big cloud.
Swab while warm
Cotton-swab the banger while warm. A clean banger is the secret to every good dab.
The golden rule: a clean, cool banger beats a hot, dirty one — every time.
Equipment & cleaning
What's on the bar, and how we keep it spotless.
The rig
Glass water-piece that cools and filters the vapour. Smaller = more flavour, bigger = smoother.
Quartz banger
The bucket you heat. Clean quartz is the single biggest upgrade to taste.
Carb cap
Caps the banger to trap heat and pull airflow — lets you dab much cooler.
Dab tool
For loading a grain-of-rice dab cleanly. Stainless or titanium.
Torch / e-nail
Heats the banger. An e-nail holds an exact temp; a torch is the classic way.
Terp pearls
Little spinning balls that spread your rosin around a cooling banger for an even, tasty pull.
The three-step clean
Swab after every dab
While the banger's still warm — cotton swab, done.
Deep-soak
Isopropyl soak for anything stubborn.
Dry fully
Bone-dry before the next heat. Always.
